I am originally from Cumming, Georgia, where I lived for the first 15 years of my life. Halfway through highschool I moved to Louisville, Kentucky, where I was opened up to a lot more than where I previously lived. I was also fascinated with the arts, and from a young age I found myself always caring about the aesthetics of things. It wasn't until I put myself into an environment where so many other people were experimenting with art that I realized it could be something I pursue. I graduated from high school early, at 16 years old, so I was very unsure of what was next for me. Pursuing art and how much I loved it was always at the back of my mind, but I was reluctant. I chose to move to Wilmington, North Carolina, where I studied at Cape Fear Community College and received my Associate of Arts. After taking so many art classes, living in an artsy/beachy town, I had more clarity on what I wanted to pursue. I chose to further my education path and study fine arts at Indiana University Southeast, where I've earned my Bachelor's in Fine Arts for Graphic Design and a Minor in Photography. I have loved studying every art medium at IUS, and I feel that I've learned certain elements from all of them that I apply to my design work. My time at IUS answered a lot of "why?" questions that I had about myself. My color, typography, layout, and illustrative choices stem from my love of making things look fun and unique from a young age. All of that time perfecting my Pinterest boards and the design of my bedrooms as a child makes sense now. I really value how my work makes others feel, and my goal is to always create bright, fun, and unique work.
